Regulation, Security and Justice Research Centre
Welcome to the Regulation, Security and Justice Research Centre.
The overall purpose of the Centre is to challenge and advance current understanding of and approaches to issues such as human security, policing and criminal justice through the application of regulatory perspectives and theory.
Aims
The Centre's aims are:
- To conduct and disseminate high-quality original research within the Centre's remit, leading to its establishment as an internationally-recognised centre of excellence in the field.
- To stimulate and co-ordinate work on these issues regionally, nationally and internationally through collaborative research, networks, conferences and websites.
- To support early-career researchers and postgraduate research students in the development of their research interests and skills in this field in collaboration with senior colleagues.
- To engage with relevant policy and practice bodies to inform and contribute to the better regulation and governance of security and justice.
